Overview

Located in the heart of Angri, along Via Nazionale, Pierò Ristorante offers a genuine taste of southern Italy with a modern touch. This restaurant blends traditional flavors with a welcoming atmosphere, making it a must-visit for lovers of authentic Italian cuisine who appreciate thoughtful presentation and quality ingredients.

The culinary journey here begins with refined starters like the Pappa al pomodoro paired beautifully with creamy Bufala stracciata, or the Moscardini alla Luciana—tender baby octopus served with crisp bread, showcasing the regional seafood heritage. Moving to the primi, dishes such as the homemade gnocco with a delicate white ragù and the robust Linguine di Gragnano alla Luciana highlight Pierò’s commitment to classic southern Italian pasta traditions.

Pierò's main courses stand out, especially for meat aficionados. The Black Angus here is a revelation, sourced with care and prepared to emphasize its natural sweetness derived from a grain-rich diet. Cuts like the Tagliata di Scottona reveal the kitchen’s finesse and respect for high-quality beef. Equally memorable are the pasta specialties—the celebrated Cacio e Pepe served tableside delivers on both flavor and the theatrical experience, while the Spaghetti alla Nerano and Spaghetti with Mushrooms offer deeply satisfying takes on rustic ingredients.

The ambiance at Pierò is one of understated elegance, with a space that welcomes small groups and couples alike. Reviews praise the friendly and professional staff, contributing to a warm dining experience that feels both intimate and unpretentious. The restaurant’s location, a short journey from historical sites like Pompei, makes it an excellent stop for travelers seeking authentic regional cuisine away from the typical tourist paths.

Desserts, such as the Sicilian Cannolo, provide a sweet finish grounding the meal in Italy’s rich pastry tradition. While some guests have noted the absence of an English menu as a slight barrier, the overall consensus points to the staff’s attentiveness and the clarity of the dishes making navigation easy.

In summary, Pierò Ristorante excels in delivering southern Italian culinary classics with genuine passion and skill. It is ideal for those who appreciate a blend of tradition and quality in a cozy setting. Whether you are a pasta lover, a meat enthusiast, or someone simply eager to explore Italian flavors beyond the usual, Pierò promises a memorable dining experience that honors its heritage while inviting new guests to discover its delights.

Lovely staff, they’re very friendly. The restaurant is very nice, and the food really good. We would definitely recommend and come here again. The only thing that was a bit difficult, that there was no menu in English, but other than that the food and service was great!

When we visited Napoli this place was especially on our list to eat. It’s not that close either. They have a unique way of serving food. And it was delicious. I can honestly say it was the best pasta I ever ate(though I rarely order pasta). We were happy with service and the food, and we went back home with a smile on our faces

A great place to pass by after visiting Pompei. Amazing anti pasta presentation for 12 euro’s per person. Great service and very good value for money. Known for their cacio e pepe which is being in-front of you. Food is delicious just be aware that after the anti pasta you might already be full... The only thing I expected was to have better quality mozzarella. In this region you normally eat only day fresh mozzarella
